elana rosencrantz

I am a licensed clinical psychologist and have a PsyD in Clinical Psychology from the Washington School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University in Seattle. I worked under supervision with Stephanie Bot, PhD to obtain licensure in Toronto, Canada.  I have worked in a variety of settings that include Family Services in Bellevue, The Art Institute of Seattle counseling center, and Fremont Community Therapy Project. I am a member of the Washington State Psychological Association and the American Psychological Association.

A strong client and therapist relationship based on trust is an important foundation for the therapy process. I have found that each person’s process is different, therefore, a tailored treatment based on each client’s specific needs and preferences is developed. Together we explore the likely reasons for certain symptoms or problems in order to understand how to find meaningful and successful solutions.

I believe that our mind-body has the innate ability to heal itself. Some of our pivotal patterns are formed in our earliest years. Some of these patterns no longer serve us. I work with a model that facilitates healing from trauma or past experiences where the client may be stuck. Working through these past experiences can open up the possibility for the client a have a stronger, more integrated sense of the self in the present. When this occurs, one is more able to thrive, feel more empowered and make choices more freely.

I am passionate about my work with others and committed to the people who seek my assistance with their process of self-discovery. I believe that therapy is a gift that you give yourself. You have the ability to change your life in amazing and rewarding ways!
